Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and professional Warehouse Security Officer to maintain the safety and security of our client's warehouse facility. This position is responsible for monitoring warehouse operations, controlling access, securing loading dock areas, conducting interior and exterior inspections, identifying safety hazards, and completing detailed documentation. The ideal candidate is alert, customer service oriented, detail focused, and capable of working independently while maintaining a visible security presence throughout the facility.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor warehouse operations to ensure a safe and secure environment.
  • Maintain a visible security presence throughout the warehouse, loading dock, and designated exterior areas.
  • Conduct routine inspections of warehouse entrances, loading docks, dock doors, emergency exits, and building access points.
  • Ensure dock doors remain closed and secured when not actively in use.
  • Remain present during loading and unloading operations to monitor activity and prevent unauthorized access.
  • Observe shipping, receiving, and delivery activities to ensure compliance with site security procedures.
  • Control access for employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors entering the warehouse.
  • Verify identification and authorization before granting access.
  • Enforce after-hours access procedures and deny entry when proper authorization is not obtained.
  • Inspect warehouse access points for propped doors, bypassed access controls, or unsecured conditions.
  • Conduct required QR checkpoint scans according to site requirements.
  • Monitor warehouse areas for suspicious activity, theft, vandalism, and policy violations.
  • Identify and immediately report safety hazards, maintenance issues, equipment malfunctions, spills, leaks, blocked exits, or unsafe working conditions.
  • Check for lights, machinery, computers, or equipment left on unnecessarily and report findings.
  • Monitor for water leaks, roof leaks, and other facility maintenance concerns.
  • Secure authorized packages left outside in designated secure locations and notify management.
  • Enforce company policies, including restricted-area rules and other site-specific procedures.
  • Maintain communication with Dispatch, CCTV personnel, and site management regarding incidents and operational updates.
  • Complete Daily Activity Reports (DARs), incident reports, access logs, QR scans, and other required documentation accurately and on time.
  • Utilize radios, smartphones, company applications, and electronic reporting systems to document daily activities.
  • Assist with monitoring inbound and outbound deliveries while maintaining security of the facility.
  • Perform additional security-related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Valid Guard Card required.
  • Previous warehouse security, access control, or security experience preferred.
  • Strong observation, communication, and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions within assigned authority.
  • Comfortable using smartphones, mobile applications, radios, and electronic reporting platforms.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and work in a warehouse environment.
  • Reliable, punctual, professional, and detail oriented.
  • Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout the entire shift.
  • Understanding of access control procedures and Observe and Report security practices.
