In Room Dining Manager
About the role:
The In Room Dining Manager supports the management team in overseeing aspects of the In Room Dining department and Speyside Cafe. The In Room Dining Manager must ensure the consistency, quality and efficiency of food and beverage service and amenities for the hotel's guest rooms and suites. They also assist the Food & Beverage Director with hiring, training, and supervising the staff. To work to ensure the consistency, quality and efficiency of food and beverage service and amenities for the hotel's guest rooms & suites. To follow the wishes and preferences of our guests.
What you will do:
  • Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline all employees in the Hotel's Room Service Department to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met.
  • The ability to be visible in the operation, provide recognition, promote good public relations, and handle complaints, concerns or special requests for guests, clients, and group contacts.
  • Describe and ensure quality of all food items, ingredients, and preparation methods, as well as provide knowledge of wine and spirits in an elegantly appointed environment dedicated to an attentive and distinctive experience for 24-hour a day in-room dining and in-room private bar services.
  • Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, purchasing decisions, and inventory and control.
  • Attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.
  • Observe the physical condition of facilities and equipment in the outlet and make recommendations for corrections and improvements as needed.
  • Monitors phones, orders, deliveries and pickups to ensure guest satisfaction and employee support.
  • Reviews and approves any comp or voids to ensure accuracy and ensures all glitches are posted accurately and timely.

What you bring:
  • Minimum 3+ year previous experience in a food and beverage environment, in a luxury hotel setting preferred.
  • Requires excellent leadership skills, and the ability to motivate and challenge a diverse team.
  • Knowledge of food & beverage service and supervisory experience is preferred. Proficient in computer systems
  • This role has direct contact with guests and as such, good communication skills are a necessity.
  • Fluency in English is required for this location and this job requires applicants to have current work authorization in the in the United States. Ability to speak Spanish preferred.
