Description
The In-Room Dining Manager oversees Servers, Order Takers, Honor Bar Attendants and a Supervisor. The In-Room Dining Manager is responsible for ensuring each guest receives five-star service and that the quality standards are adhered to as established by management.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Directly responsible for overseeing the In-Room Dining department ensuring proper coverage at all times.
  • Ensure timely completion of safety inspections and training on a monthly basis.
  • Regularly perform housekeeping and maintenance walkthrough of guest and employee areas, generate reports and follow appropriate maintenance requests.
  • Provide Huddles to In-Room Dining employees on a daily basis.
  • Provide on-going service training programs covering service standards and sales techniques.
  • Handle special requests, complaints and billing discrepancies, service recovery.
  • Meet with supervisors, order takers, and servers daily to review activities, group business, amenities and any other pertinent information regarding In-Room Dining. Perform the Servers, Order Takers, Honor Bar Attendants and Supervisor duties as needed.
  • Demonstrate creativity and attention to detail in the design, presentation, and delivery of guest amenities and hospitality offerings, consistently creating memorable and personalized guest experiences.
  • Deliver performance reviews and hold consistent one-on-one meetings with employees.
  • Responsible for recruitment, hiring, promotion and employee documentation.
  • Keep staff informed of VIP and group schedules any other special arrangements, events and hotel activities.
  • Provide input on all capital expenditures.
  • Order food and beverage supplies, as well as any other supplies necessary for the In-Room Dining operations.
  • Conduct monthly inventory of all beverages & dry goods.
  • Order and maintain proper inventory of all linens as needed.
  • Knows, models and integrates Pebble Beach Company culture (Mission, Values, and Standards).
  • Comply with the Pebble Beach Company safety, health policies and procedures.
  • Willingness and ability to support and assist in other Food & Beverage departments as needed.
  • Other projects assigned by the Director of Food & Beverage.

Required Skills:
  • Must have excellent interpersonal & customer service skills and ability to handle challenging situations in a professional manner.
  • Minimum of 3+ years In-Room Service, preferably with a 4 or 5-star resort.
  • Knowledge of food, wine and spirits necessary.
  • Must be knowledge of all aspects of the In-Room Dining operation.
  • Clear and polite manner communication skills are required.
  • Supervisory, time management and problem-solving skills required.
  • Food safety and Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certifications required.
  • Valid California driver's license.
