Key Responsibilities

By joining our team in Dayton (New Jersey), you will have the opportunity to apply your skills in air import operations, supporting our global logistics activities and making a direct impact on the smooth execution and growth of our international shipments and clients.

As a Air Import Operations Specialist, you will:

  • Manage the full lifecycle of air import shipments into the USA, ensuring a smooth and efficient process 
  • Coordinate with overseas agents, airlines, customs brokers, and trucking companies 
  • Review and follow client SOPs for document handling, notifications, and billing 
  • Monitor shipment status, ETAs, and proactively manage delays or exceptions 
  • Ensure all shipping documentation is accurate and compliant with customs requirements 
  • Liaise with US customs brokers to guarantee timely clearance and avoid penalties 
  • Provide regular updates to clients, including tracking details and shipment milestones 
  • Handle arrival notices, delivery coordination, and final mile execution 
  • Manage client portals and reporting (including weekly updates when required) 
  • Support billing activities, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing 
  • Maintain accurate records in internal systems (e.g., CargoWise)

Key Competencies:

  • 2-3 years of experience in air import operations (freight forwarding preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of air freight processes, documentation, and airline procedures
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
  • Strong communication skills and customer-focused approach
  • Experience with CargoWise or similar systems is a plus
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Flexibility to work occasional weekends when required
