About the Position
Mountain Pass is seeking an Implementation Specialist to support the deployment and adoption of SmartPath, our SaaS-based faculty information system used by leading higher education institutions. In this role, you will partner closely with clients to successfully implement our software, ensure solutions align with institutional requirements, and deliver an exceptional customer experience throughout the implementation lifecycle.
The ideal candidate has experience working with SaaS solutions and modern software tools, thrives in a collaborative team environment, and possesses strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Success in this role requires a customer-focused mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Partner with clients to gather, understand, and document deployment and implementation requirements, ensuring successful project outcomes.
  • Develop and manage implementation plans, timelines, and project schedules while maintaining clear communication with clients throughout the process.
  • Configure, test, troubleshoot, and validate software solutions to support successful deployments and system functionality.
  • Deliver client training and ongoing support to promote effective adoption and use of the software platform.
  • Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Quality Assurance (QA) reviews on implementation deliverables to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Create and maintain implementation documentation, processes, and best practices to support standardized delivery for future clients.
  • Continuously evaluate implementation workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and the client experience.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with implementation, support, and development teams to identify and resolve deployment-related issues.
  • Provide feedback to the software development team regarding product functionality, usability, and enhancement opportunities based on client and implementation experience.
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies, SaaS implementation best practices, and higher education industry trends to support ongoing innovation and client success.

About You:
  • Associate degree, relevant certifications, or equivalent professional experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of SaaS software deployment, implementation, version control, and support processes.
  • Experience delivering exceptional customer service with a strong commitment to client satisfaction.
  • Familiarity with tools and technologies such as GitHub, HTML, Excel, and AI-assisted development or productivity tools.
  • Experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Quality Assurance (QA) processes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and internal teams.
