Boutique Immigration Law Firm in Houston, Texas seeks Lead Immigration Attorney ready to make a positive impact as we work to unite families.

What you can expect:

Compensation based on experience, with opportunities to receive bonus compensation for reaching individual and firm targets.

No crazy work hours - we strongly believe in work/life balance and encourage our team to leave it at the office at the end of the day.

No Overwhelming billable hours expectations (we do not bill time). We work together as a team to accomplish the financial targets we set as a firm. Almost every case we open is a fixed fee for a specific scope of work.

Job Responsibilities:

-Consultations - Track on close rate and lead quality metrics. Follow up on notes, emails, perform shadowing, debriefing with the director or owner.
-Accompany clients to interviews at the USCIS Field Office, Asylum Office, Immigration Courts.
-Represent clients in removal and bond proceedings and appeals to the BIA.
-Prepare forms, briefs, cover letters with legal analysis and arguments, motions, and immigration packets for submission, as needed.
-Review for quality, give feedback and sign immigration packets, motions and briefs.
-Research and perform technical legal writing, as needed.
-Keeping abreast of the current changes in immigration law.
-Train and teach the team to help them grow their knowledge of the practice area.
-Work closely with paralegals and reach out to them when necessary to contact clients, correct any error or issue, and clarify any misunderstanding or confusion.
-Other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time, Overtime Exempt

-Immigration law: 5 years
-Employment Immigration: EB1, EB2, Eb3, EB4, H1B, L1, O1, TN, etc.
-Family Based Immigration

-Removal defense
Licensure:

-Licensed to practice law in a United States jurisdiction
-In good standing with the State bar in your jurisdiction
