Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Attorney to join our African American, community based legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Personal Injury Law and Worker's Compensation Law. This role requires exceptional legal research abilities, proficiency with legal databases such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw, and a commitment to providing high-quality legal representation to our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in legal proceedings, including, but not limited to arbitrations, mediations, motions, trials and appeals.

  • Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation and strategy.

  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings and motions.

  • Advise clients on their legal rights and obligations in various matters.

  • Collaborate with other attorneys and staff within the law office to ensure comprehensive case management.

  • Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations affecting practice areas, particularly in Personal Injury Law and Worker's Compensation Law.

  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients while advocating for their best interests.

Experience:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

  • Admission to the state bar association is required.

  • Previous experience in litigation and jury trials, preferred by not mandatory.

  • Familiarity with legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw is recommended.
