Job description

We are seeking an experienced Financial Aid Officer for immediate, temporary hire to support high-volume operational needs within the Financial Aid Department. This role plays a critical part in ensuring timely processing, compliance, and student support related to federal and institutional financial aid programs. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, service-driven.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance to students and families regarding available financial aid programs.

  • Assist students with financial aid applications and required documentation.

  • Perform verification processes and resolve conflicting information.

  • Enter and update financial aid data in the institutional system (DiamonSIS).

  • Process awards, Pell projections, and loan originations.

  • Monitor loan entrance and exit counseling and required documentation.

  • Respond to student inquiries via phone and in person.

Minimum Qualifications

  • College degree in accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.

  • Prior experience in Financial Aid or higher education administration preferred.

  • Strong organizational, documentation, and follow-up skills.

  • Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency with information systems and data entry.
