Clerical Temporary Pool (Part-Time, Up to 599 Hours)

Clatsop Community College maintains a pool of qualified candidates for short-term, part-time clerical support needs across campus. Supervisors may access this pool when temporary assistance is needed for projects, coverage, or seasonal workload demands. Assignments are variable in scope and duration, and do not exceed 599 hours per year.

Job Summary

From time to time, the College hires part-time temporary employees to provide clerical and administrative support. These assignments are short-term in nature and designed to assist departments with immediate or intermittent needs.

Essential Duties

Duties will vary depending on the specific assignment, but may include:

  • Providing general clerical support such as typing, filing, and answering phones
  • Entering and maintaining data in specialized database systems
  • Performing word processing, spreadsheet, and database-related tasks
  • Assisting with basic accounting functions, including cashiering
  • Supporting departmental operations as needed
Minimum Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
  • Prior clerical or administrative experience preferred
