Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and screenings to accurately evaluate clients' history of substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique circumstances, incorporating evidence-based strategies and therapeutic interventions.
  • Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions to foster resilience and promote recovery, leveraging validated therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
  • Collaborate effectively with other clinical team members, ensuring coordinated care and holistic support that includes medical interventions and additional resources.
  • Educate and actively involve clients’ family members in the recovery process, providing guidance and support to improve the client's overall support network.
  • Maintain meticulous and accurate client records in compliance with state regulations and professional standards, ensuring confidentiality and ethical practice.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role specifically focuses on clients dealing with substance use disorders and related mental health issues. You'll be working with a diverse clientele, which may include adolescents and adults from various cultural backgrounds, experiencing the challenges of addiction and seeking paths to recovery. Your ability to connect with clients empathetically and effectively will be vital in fostering their healing journeys.

Qualifications
  • A valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Specialized training or a strong background in addiction counseling is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of evidence-based practices for treating substance use and co-occurring disorders.
  • Outstanding therapeutic and counseling skills with the capacity to motivate and inspire clients.
