Job description

Our client is an international logistics organisation employing more than 3000 people. For their operations in Zaventem, they are looking for a Senior ICT Security Engineer to strengthen their ICT Security team and to help drive continuous improvements in their infrastructure.

Job overview

You will be the senior member of our Clientโ€™s ICT Security team (consisting of 5 engineers), which is part of the ICT Architecture organisation. The role reports to the ICT Manager. Your role will be to provide support and advice to your colleagues particularly in the domains of application and infrastructure security.

Key responsibilities
  • You maintain the existing IT security technologies, ensuring that they are running optimally 24/7
  • You guide your other Security team members in their daily operations, sharing your knowledge and experience to help improve their skillset
  • You support other IT projects by being the IT Security Teamโ€™s main representative in planning and implementation phases
  • You document analyses, processes and technologies and will keep this documentation up to date
  • You are the main point-of-contact with security service providers in connection with audits and analyses, and will play a key role in the selection of new providers
  • You will liaise with your counterparts in other international locations to ensure a consistent approach to best practice is used across the security organisation.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelorโ€™s degree in an ICT-related subject, or the equivalent through experience
  • Familiar with both Linux and Windows based systems
  • You have a strong understanding of security technologies, such as:
    • Network firewalls, load balancers, WAF and proxies
    • Anti-virus end point protection
    • Identity & Access Management (e.g. Active Directory, Azure D)
    • Anti-spam email security
    • Security monitoring and auditing tools (SIEM)
    • Vulnerability Management & pen testing
    • Certificate services (PKI)
    • Secure network connections and remote access (VPN)
    • Strong authentication (MFA)
  • Security certifications, such as CISSP, CEH or Security+ are a major advantage
  • You are familiar with Security Incident Response processes
  • You like to take the initiative to implement process improvements
  • You are communicative and a positive team player who is willing to assist others to achieve a common goal
  • You speak English fluently and can speak either Dutch or French at a native level.
