We are seeking a highly skilled and driven IT Project Engineer to join our team. As an IT Project Engineer you will join our team and lead the implementation of client-facing technical projects across the New York City area. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced MSP environment, is comfortable working on-site with clients, and has a deep understanding of multi-tenant support, project execution, and modern IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for designing, deploying, and upgrading systems across a wide range of client environments. This includes servers, networking, cloud platforms, cybersecurity solutions, and endpoint technologies

Your work as an IT Project Engineer has several components:
  • Function as a hands-on, technical element of client project delivery, including but not limited to:
    • Client onboardings and offboardings
    • Network installations and migrations
    • Windows server-to-server or server-to-cloud migrations
    • Office builds and moves
    • MDM/MAM + Conditional Access implementation
  • Collaborate with project managers and account teams to provide regular updates and create and update documentation.
  • Function as an escalation point for resolution of project issues.
  • Travel to client sites across NYC and surrounding area for installations, assessments, and hands-on technical work (estimated 50-75%).
  • Communicate clearly with clients, acting as a technical expert and trusted advisor.

Our ideal IT Project Engineer has the following qualifications:
  • 3-5+ years IT MSP experience including a minimum of 2+ years of hands-on project engineering experience (mandatory).
  • Strong experience implementing IT infrastructure projects from design through completion.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, AD, and common MSP toolsets (RMM, PSA).
  • Solid understanding of CCNA-level networking
  • Ability to work independently and on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong aptitude for time and note entry within a PSA.
  • Understanding of predictive and hybrid project methodologies, including roles, responsibilities, and work breakdown structure (WBS)
  • Located in or near New York City and able to comfortably travel to client sites as required

Preferred requirements:
  • Relevant technical certifications (e.g., Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco, PMI).
  • Specific experience with: Microsoft Azure, 365, and SharePoint
  • Meraki Networking
  • Windows Server
  • Modern security principals - MFA, SSO, Conditional Access, MDM, MAM
  • ConnectWise PSA
