Job description

Outside Sales Representative (Technical / Industrial Accounts)

Pneumatic and Hydraulic Company, LLC

Own Your Territory. Leverage Your Technical Expertise. Build Long-Term Industrial Relationships.

Pneumatic and Hydraulic Company, LLC is seeking a technical, relationship-driven Outside Sales Representative to grow business within an assigned territory. This role is ideal for a sales professional who understands pneumatic and hydraulic applications, has hands-on or technical experience, and brings established customer relationships they can leverage.

About Us

Pneumatic and Hydraulic Company, LLC is a trusted provider of pneumatic, hydraulic, and industrial solutions, serving industries such as oil & gas, manufacturing, construction, and industrial maintenance. We are known for our product expertise, responsiveness, and long-term customer partnerships. Our team values professionalism, accountability, and doing business the right way.

This Role Is Ideal For Candidates Who:
  • Have a technical or hands-on background (hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, industrial equipment, or field service)

  • Have existing customer relationships or a book of business within industrial, oil & gas, or manufacturing environments

  • Prefer solution-based, consultative selling over transactional sales

  • Are comfortable discussing applications, troubleshooting needs, and product recommendations

  • Want ownership of a territory and long-term customer growth

What You Will Do
  • Manage and grow an assigned industrial sales territory

  • Leverage existing relationships while developing new business opportunities

  • Provide technical guidance and product recommendations based on customer applications

  • Conduct on-site customer visits, product demonstrations, and solution discussions

  • Sell pneumatic and hydraulic products including hoses, fittings, valves, tubing, cylinders, and related components

  • Collaborate with Inside Sales and operations teams to ensure strong follow-up and service

  • Maintain accurate sales activity, pipeline tracking, and customer records

  • Stay informed on product offerings, customer needs, and industry trends

What We Are Looking For
  • 3+ years of outside sales experience in an industrial or technical environment

  • Technical background strongly preferred (pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanical systems, industrial equipment, or similar)

  • Prior experience selling or supporting pneumatic and hydraulic products

  • Existing customer relationships or industry contacts strongly preferred

  • Strong consultative selling, communication, and relationship-building skills

  • Professional demeanor with the ability to work independently in the field

  • Experience with MS Office and CRM or sales management tools

  • Ability to travel within the assigned territory (occasional overnight travel)

Why This Role Stands Out
  • Ownership of a defined sales territory

  • Opportunity to leverage technical knowledge, not just sell products

  • Established product lines with real customer demand

  • Support from experienced Inside Sales and operational teams

  • Company focused on long-term partnerships, not short-term wins

  • Autonomy, flexibility, and trust in how you manage your territory

Schedule & Travel

This is an exempt position with flexible hours generally centered around 8:00 AM-5:00 PM. Frequent travel within the assigned territory is required, with occasional overnight stays.

Ready to Get Started?

If you're a technically minded sales professional with strong industry relationships and a desire to grow your territory with a respected industrial solutions company, we encourage you to apply.
