Description
Position at Total Mechanical Service
Commercial HVAC/R & Cooking Equipment Technician
Pay: $20-$45+ per hour based on experience
Total Mechanical Service is hiring experienced technicians to troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial cooking, refrigeration, and HVAC equipment at customer locations. Technicians perform preventative maintenance and emergency service on equipment, including ovens, fryers, steamers, dish machines, walk-ins, coolers, freezers, and ice machines.
Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial cooking, refrigeration, and HVAC equipment
  • Complete preventative maintenance inspections and emergency service calls
  • Communicate professionally with customers, dispatch, managers, and sales teams
  • Complete service paperwork and order parts as needed
  • Maintain company vehicle and tools
  • Participate in on-call rotation
  • Attend technical training sessions
  • Identify opportunities within existing customer accounts
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Previous commercial cooking, refrigeration, or HVAC service experience (military experience considered)
  • Strong electrical, mechanical, and troubleshooting skills
  • Professional communication and customer service skills
  • Dependable, organized, and punctual
  • Completion of a successful background check and drug screen
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Driving record must align with our safety standards

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience servicing fryers, ovens, steamers, ware wash, walk-ins, ice machines, prep tables, coolers, and freezers
  • EPA Universal Certification
  • CFESA certification or related training
  • Basic computer skills
