A self-employed welder is a skilled tradesperson who runs their own welding business instead of working for a single employer. They often take on projects for various clients, which can include construction companies, manufacturers, or private individuals. Being self-employed requires handling both the technical aspects of welding and the business side, such as marketing, scheduling, and finances. This path offers flexibility and independence but also requires strong self-motivation and business management skills.
