Job description

The Bench Mechanic performs tear downs, troubleshoots, and repairs moderate to complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic equipment and systems. Reports to the Cell Leader.
Responsibilities:
  • Install, repair, and perform diagnostic testing and troubleshooting of moderate to complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic components or systems.
  • When necessary, may be responsible for system/machine modifications at the job site. This includes but is not limited to material fabrication, assembly, and modification of equipment on job site assignments.
  • Prepare detailed service reports utilizing Microsoft Office and/or ERP software. Reports will include records of materials used, hours worked, travel expenses, and other project-related data.
  • As a representative of Airline Hydraulics, communicate professionally and effectively with customers, co-workers, vendors, and sub-contractors.
  • Work overtime as required to complete projects.
  • Perform service repairs and related projects in the field when necessary.
  • Complete all job-related training classes as assigned.
  • Perform other essential and related duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • 1-5 years of mechanic experience preferred, including experience with service of both hydraulic and electronic products and systems.
  • Thorough working knowledge of hydraulic components, including knowledge of Bosch Rexroth componentspreferred
  • Ability to interpret and analyze electro-hydraulic schematics
  • Basic AC/DC circuitry knowledge.
  • Strong computer skills. Capable of working with Microsoft Office and a variety of applications.
  • Strong time management and organization skills. Must be able to work independently and successfully complete multiple assignments in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong communication skills. Must be capable of using written and verbal communications to effectively convey plans and specific details to internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work in difficult physical and stressful situations for extended periods of time.
