Job description

Job Overview
The PEAK & Productivity Manager is responsible for leading the implementation, sustainment, and continuous advancement of the PEAK operating system. This role will drive operational excellence by developing and executing continuous improvement strategies that enhance safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity performance across the site. The PEAK & Productivity Manager will partner cross-functionally with site leadership to embed a culture of accountability, problem solving, and continuous improvement through the deployment of PEAK systems, lean methodologies, and data-driven decision making. In addition, this role will lead the site productivity agenda by identifying, prioritizing, and governing productivity initiatives that deliver measurable business results and operational efficiencies.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead the site through PEAK implementation phases using standard project management principles, ensuring system owners execute and sustain implementation plans.
  • Drive deployment and sustainment of PEAK systems to optimize operational workflows, value streams, and overall site performance.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and operational discipline throughout the distribution center.
  • Align continuous improvement initiatives with site master plans and broader PEAK implementation strategies utilizing Lean and CI methodologies such as Value Stream Mapping, DMAIC, Root Cause Analysis, and Standard Work.
  • Coach and develop leaders and frontline teams on PEAK principles, continuous improvement tools, and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Facilitate kaizen events, operational reviews, and improvement workshops to drive measurable operational gains.
  • Ensure PEAK, CI, and project management tools are effectively utilized to deliver successful project execution and long-term sustainability.
  • Partner with network PEAK and productivity leaders to benchmark, share best practices, and drive organizational learning.
  • Track and report out productivity results, updates, and strategy to key stakeholders.
  • Lead the development and execution of the site productivity strategy to achieve annual operational and financial targets.
  • Build and manage the site productivity project funnel, including identification, prioritization, tracking, and validation of initiatives.
  • Lead site productivity governance processes to ensure accountability, visibility, and execution against goals.
  • Analyze operational performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and root causes that support strategic decision making.
  • Develop and maintain productivity reporting, scorecards, and dashboards for site leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Partner with operations, engineering, inventory, transportation, and support functions to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize labor utilization.
  • Support labor planning and operational throughput improvement initiatives through data analytics and process optimization.
  • Track and communicate productivity savings, project progress, risks, and strategic updates to leadership teams.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering, Supply Chain, or equivalent degree.
  • 5+ years' experience in a manufacturing / distribution leadership role or in a Central Supply Chain type role with project and leadership experience.
  • 3+ years' experience in a CI or process improvement role, with a proven track record of delivering measurable results.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Lean, Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional projects and driving organizational change.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret operational data and translate insights into action.
  • Experience developing productivity strategies, governance processes, and performance reporting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word; experience with AutoCAD and WMS systems preferred.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and project management capabilities.
  • Ability to lead teams, coach others, and work collaboratively across functions.
  • Self-starter with strong initiative, adaptability, and a results-driven mindset.
  • Working knowledge of distribution center operations, labor management, and supply chain processes.
  • Must complete all OSHA-required training.
  • Role requires up to 25% travel for trainings, summits, and network collaboration activities.
