What is a Hunting Marketing?

A Hunting Marketing job focuses on identifying and acquiring new customers or business opportunities for a company. Professionals in this role actively seek out leads, establish relationships, and drive sales growth rather than managing existing clients. They use market research, networking, and direct outreach to generate new business. This role is common in industries where proactive sales efforts are essential, such as B2B services, technology, and manufacturing. Success in this position requires strong communication, negotiation, and strategic prospecting skills.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in Hunting Marketing?

To excel in Hunting Marketing, you need expertise in marketing strategy, analytics, and a strong understanding of the hunting and outdoor industry, often supported by a degree in marketing or a related field. Familiarity with digital marketing platforms, CRM systems, and social media advertising is typically required, while certifications such as Google Ads or HubSpot are advantageous. Strong soft skills like creative thinking, relationship-building, and adaptability help foster connections with both outdoor brands and consumers. These skills are essential for creating effective campaigns that engage the target audience and drive growth within the specialized hunting market.

What are some common challenges faced in Hunting Marketing and how can they be overcome?

Professionals in Hunting Marketing often face the challenge of reaching a niche audience while maintaining compliance with advertising regulations specific to outdoor and hunting products. Keeping up with shifting consumer preferences and seasonal demand also requires a flexible and proactive marketing approach. Successful marketers overcome these hurdles by staying informed about industry trends, using data-driven campaign strategies, and fostering strong partnerships with influencers and content creators in the hunting community. Additionally, collaborating closely with product development and sales teams helps align marketing initiatives with company goals and customer expectations.

Job description

Description:

Business Development & Marketing Manager

[Denver, CO ] Job Type: Full-Time | Compensation: $60,000–$85,000 Base + Commission

About the Opportunity

We are one of the fastest-growing companies in the restoration and mitigation industry, expanding rapidly across the United States — with international growth on the horizon. We're looking for highly motivated, relationship-driven professionals who are ready to take the skills and talent they've built throughout their career and put them to work in an environment built for high performers to succeed.

This is more than a job. For the right person, it's a path to real ownership in the business.

What You'll Do
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the restoration, mitigation, and construction markets
  • Build and maintain relationships with plumbers, property managers, insurance agents, adjusters, realtors, and other referral partners
  • Conduct regular in-person visits to referral sources throughout your assigned market
  • Attend networking events, trade shows, chamber meetings, and community events to grow brand presence
  • Head-hunt and run business-to-business marketing efforts to generate new leads
  • Lead negotiations on contracts, pricing, and service agreements
  • Develop and execute strategies to expand market share and drive revenue growth
  • Manage your pipeline and track activity using CRM tools
  • Follow up consistently with referral partners to strengthen long-term relationships
  • Represent the company with professionalism and integrity in every interaction

What We're Looking For

We care more about drive, relationships, and industry know-how than checking boxes on a resume. The following are preferred, not required:

  • Experience in restoration, mitigation, construction, plumbing, insurance, or property management
  • A proven track record of generating and closing new business
  • Existing relationships with insurance agents, adjusters, plumbers, property managers, or real estate professionals
  • Experience with CRM software (Salesforce or similar)
  • A self-motivated, "hunter" mentality with strong networking and relationship-building skills
  • Comfort with cold calling, in-person sales visits, and business-to-business marketing
  • An associate's or bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or communications is a plus, but not required — real-world experience and results matter most
  • High knowledge of the industry and how it operates

Bringing an existing book of business or an established client list is a major advantage and will be heavily favored in our hiring process.

Compensation & Growth
  • Base salary: $60,000–$85,000 plus commission, with high earning potential for top performers
  • Significant bonuses and incentives for candidates coming from the mitigation or plumber-marketing industries
  • High-performing individuals will have the potential opportunity for ownership in the business
  • Real career growth as we continue to expand across the U.S. and into international markets
What We Provide

We provide everything you need to perform at a high level — the tools, support, and resources to succeed. Some travel may be required.
