Leidos is actively hiring for a Technical Deputy Project Manager to join our team in Chantilly, VA.

The Technical Deputy PM fosters the information and communications advantage by planning, coordinating, and managing the actions taken by the program team to initiate and execute the government contract of significant complexity and value. The Technical Deputy PM provides support for the overall management, technical, and administrative oversight of the program, serving as a critical liaison between Leidos and the Government's Program Management Office (GPMO) on all matters.

The position will require proven expertise translating technical ICAM concepts—such as identity lifecycle management, access control, authentication, authorization, & zero trust principles—into clear, mission-focused future capability aligned to NGA operational objectives maintaining relevance in DoD and IC spaces while accelerating competitive posture. This position will also work with the rest of the technical leadership team to help drive program technical execution, innovation and modernization. This position is responsible for supporting the management of cost, schedule, quality, and risk to ensure contract requirements are successfully met. Additionally, the role involves providing financial reporting, collecting and analyzing project metrics, and preparing for and participating in both informal and formal reviews.

Leidos is seeking a Technical Deputy Program Manager for a large Defense Intelligence program chartered to ensure only authorized, authenticated users can access mission-critical applications chartered to manage an experienced identity, credential, and access management (ICAM) service team. Our customer provides strategic intelligence, warfighter support, indications and warning, safety of navigation, foundation data, humanitarian and disaster relief, special event planning, and homeland defense.


We are seeking a servant leader who has the interpersonal communication skills and technical depth necessary to inspire, lead, direct, and manage this complex program, while interfacing and building relationships with senior customer leaders.

Basic Qualifications

  • Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) or Project Management Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience leading multidisciplinary teams and coordinating across government, contractor, and mission partners to deliver ICAM capabilities on schedule and within scope.

  • A minimum of 7-10 years Project Management experience managing complex (multi-disciplined) efforts

  • Minimum two (2) years ICAM program management experience

  • Agile methodology program management experience

  • Demonstrated success in delivering functional code to the government’s satisfaction utilizing agile design and development techniques.

  • Demonstrated performance in delivering alpha and beta quality code to the government in time frames less than one month, and production quality code in three-month time frames.

  • Demonstrated subject-matter expertise in Zero Trust ICAM solutions design and architecture

  • Strong interpersonal skills and proven track record of leading technical teams, conveying technical solutions to technical and non-technical audiences

  • Must have an active TS/SCI with ability to obtain a CI polygraph level.
     

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

  • Superior attention to detail & high quality organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

  • Expertise in software and mission IT systems design, related architecture(s), and best practices.
