About the Role
HOT JOB - IMMEDIATE OPENING
We are seeking an experienced Procurement & Logistics Project Manager (Independant Contractor) to support complex, multi-stakeholder programs by overseeing procurement activities, logistics coordination, and cost tracking.
25 hours a week
This role focuses on ensuring that purchasing, shipping, and related expenditures are effectively managed, accurately tracked, and aligned with program priorities. The ideal candidate will bring structure to fast-paced environments, improve visibility into operations, and support informed decision-making across teams.
What You'll Do in Your New Role
Procurement & Order Management
  • Serve as key decision maker in planning and coordinating procurement and logistics requirements on behalf of government client
  • Manage and track procurement requests, purchase orders, and order lifecycle activities
  • Ensure all requests are properly documented, approved, and processed in accordance with established procedures
  • Maintain centralized visibility into order status, vendors, and delivery timelines
  • Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to resolve procurement issues and delays
Cost Tracking & Financial Support
  • Monitor and track project-related expenditures, including procurements and associated costs
  • Support budget management by tracking committed and actual costs
  • Identify potential risks related to cost overruns or untracked expenses
  • Assist with financial reporting, invoice review, and reconciliation processes
Logistics & Shipping Coordination
  • Coordinate with US Government and Embassy clients to identify best course of action for shipping and logistics of medical equipment and materials
  • Support Culmen and Government with arranging import and export documentation
  • Track shipments and coordinate delivery of materials and equipment
  • Work with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely and accurate delivery
  • Identify and resolve logistical challenges, including delays or discrepancies
  • Maintain clear visibility into shipment status and delivery timelines
Program Coordination & Process Management
  • Serve as lead project cooridnator between Corporate, Government and Project stakeholders in regards to procurement and logistics requiremetns
  • Establish and maintain tracking systems to ensure visibility across procurement and logistics activities
  • Promote consistency in processes, tools, and documentation across teams
  • Ensure all activities align with organizational policies and compliance requirements
  • Support audit readiness through organized documentation and traceability
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Serve as a key point of contact for procurement and logistics-related inquiries
  • Communicate status updates, risks, and priorities to internal leadership and stakeholders
  • Support decision-making by providing accurate and timely data on orders and expenditures
  • Manage expectations and coordinate priorities across multiple teams
Planning & Continuous Improvement
  • Identify process gaps and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and accountability
  • Support forward planning by aligning procurement needs with upcoming project activities
  • Train and guide team members on tracking processes and best practices

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in procurement, logistics, or project management
  • Experience with market research, vendor discovery and freight forwarding
  • Ability to make strategic decisions to support urgent and complex shipping requirements in high-risk environments
  • Experience managing budgets, tracking costs, or supporting financial processes
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills across multiple stakeholders
  • Experience using project management tools, procurement platforms and financial systems
  • Experience with medical procurement and logistics including cold chain and hazmat international shipments
