Position OverviewAshley Furniture is seeking a motivated Human Resources Intern to support our HR team with requisition management, employee engagement initiatives, and general HR operations. This internship offers hands-on experience in various aspects of human resources.
Key ResponsibilitiesRequisition Management- Create and process employee requisitions in our applicant tracking system
- Coordinate with hiring managers to gather job requirements and specifications
- Maintain accurate requisition tracking and documentation
- Assist with job posting distribution across various platforms
Employee Engagement & Events- Support planning and coordination of the annual Ashley Picnic
- Assist with event logistics, vendor coordination, and employee communications
- Help organize employee engagement activities and recognition programs
- Support internal communications related to company events
UKG System Support- Provide administrative support for UKG (workforce management system) processes
- Assist employees with basic UKG inquiries and troubleshooting
- Help maintain employee data accuracy within the UKG platform
- Support time and attendance tracking processes
General HR Support- Assist with employee onboarding and orientation processes
- Maintain HR files and ensure compliance with record-keeping requirements
- Support benefits administration and employee inquiries
- Participate in HR projects and initiatives as assigned
- Provide general administrative support to the HR team
Qualifications- Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Detail-oriented with ability to handle confidential information
- Team player with positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Previous internship or work experience in HR is a plus
