Job description

OSW Equipment & Repair is seeking a Human Resources Manager to lead the day-to-day HR operations at our facility. This role serves as a strategic partner to business leaders while ensuring the effective execution of core HR programs, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits administration, and compliance with employment laws and company policies.
The HR Manager provides coaching and guidance to both leaders and employees, drives employee engagement initiatives, and supports organizational change efforts. This position plays a critical role in fostering a positive workplace culture, resolving employee concerns, and implementing HR strategies that attract, develop, and retain top talent.
Additionally, the role may oversee HR team members, collaborate with cross-functional HR partners, and ensure alignment with company-wide HR practices. The HR Manager is instrumental in driving compliance, enhancing the employee experience, and supporting overall business objectives.
This role requires to be onsite Monday - Friday.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Leads the HR function for a facility, provides functional HR expertise, plans, and executes on key projects.
  • Directly manages facility HR Partners driving performance in the local HR team, as applicable.
  • Executes HR programs within the facility. Ensures alignment with HR processes and programs.
  • Collaborates with HR colleagues to share best practices and leverage successes across the company. Supports peer networks across the company.
  • Leverages network for learning when encountering a new challenge. Manages personal development following changes to company, business and/or HR strategy. Participates in development of HR colleagues.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Builds effective working relationships with organizational leaders. Balances facility/group needs with HR guidelines when making decisions. Provides transparency into work.
  • Provide coaching to leaders and individual contributors at the Plant Manager level and below, to promote individual success.
  • Drives change management among leaders to ensure strategic changes that impact associates are rolled out in an engaging, well communicated, and reinforced way.
  • Assesses and monitors associate engagement on a proactive, ongoing basis.
  • Implements engagement strategies to systematically address disengagement issues.
  • Completes reports and information requests accurately and timely.
  • Responsible for executing core annual programs, such as performance objectives and goalsetting, performance evaluations, compensation, planning, talent assessment, succession planning, wellness, annual enrollment, etc.
  • Manages the talent acquisition process to ensure the company attracts and hires qualified candidates.
  • Address employee grievances, mediate conflicts, and foster a positive work environment.
  • Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive benefit and pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
  • Conduct surveys and analyze compensation data.
  • Administer employee leaves of absences, reasonable accommodation requests, investigate allegations of wrongdoing.
  • Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Responsible for implementation of Affirmative Action Plan and goals, as applicable.
  • Responsible for ensuring that human resources functions, including recordkeeping, talent development, promotions, terminations, etc. are all conducted in accordance with Company procedures and applicable legal requirements.
  • Oversee performance appraisal systems, provide feedback, and develop performance improvement plans.
  • Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
  • Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures. Ensure consistent application across the organization.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
  • Research and address state tax issues that affect the local facilities, in conjunction with the accounting department.
  • Take point on state employment related inquiries from all areas under the Dept of Labor per view.
  • Some travel may be required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Understanding of compensation and benefit policies and programs, employee relations practices.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • 5+ years of human resource management experience preferred.
  • SPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desired.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to move around the manufacturing facility, including standing, walking, and climbing stairs.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • Some travel may be required.
  • Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment.
  • Stooping, bending, twisting and reaching may be required in completion of job duties.

Additional Job Information:
  • Wage Expectations: $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year, plus bonus opportunity
  • Pay: This is an exempt salaried position, and employees are paid on a bi-weekly basis
  • Typical Schedule: Five (5) Eight (8) hour days M-F
  • Location: On Site - 20812 Broadway Ave; Snohomish, WA 98296
  • Travel: Up to 5%
