Human Resources Generalist

Location: Elkhart, IN (Fully Onsite)
Salary: $55,000 – $70,000

We are seeking a motivated and people-focused Human Resources Generalist to join our growing team in Elkhart, Indiana. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional ranging from a recent graduate to someone with up to seven years of experience who is eager to make an impact across the full employee lifecycle.

The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, and passionate about creating a positive workplace culture while supporting recruiting, onboarding, employee development, and engagement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full-cycle recruiting process, including sourcing, interviewing, coordinating offers, and onboarding new employees.

  • Develop and execute onboarding programs that create a positive new hire experience and accelerate employee success.

  • Coordinate employee training and professional development initiatives while maintaining training records.

  • Partner with managers to support employee engagement, retention, recognition, and workplace culture initiatives.

  • Assist with employee relations matters by providing guidance and ensuring consistent application of company policies.

  • Maintain employee personnel files and HRIS records while ensuring confidentiality and compliance.

  • Support performance management processes, employee evaluations, and career development initiatives.

  • Assist with benefits administration, leave management, and HR compliance activities.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.

  • Participate in HR process improvement projects and help drive continuous improvement across the department.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

  • 0–7 years of Human Resources experience.

  • Experience with full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, employee engagement, or training is highly preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.

  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Positive attitude, collaborative mindset, and strong customer service orientation.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with HRIS systems is a plus.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
