Overview

LMI is seeking a skilled Sr Human Capital Consultant at our client office in Washington, DC. A successful LMI Sr. Human Capital Consultant will demonstrate competency in leadership communication, quality assurance, and operational support across the Human Capital and Mission Support teams. This role is responsible for managing key deliverables facilitating meetings, supporting workforces planning, and maintain strategic knowledge management initiatives.

Responsibilities

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary communication conduit to leadership, ensuring clear, consistent, and timely information flow between leadership and operational teams. Oversee quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) for key deliverables, communications, and calls-to-action, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with organizational standards. Lead integration of digital tools such as PowerApps and business intelligence (BI) reports; gather user feedback and drive continuous improvement in team workflows. Manage strategic knowledge initiatives, including contributions to newsletters and knowledge sharing platforms, to support organizational learning and collaboration. Facilitate meetings by organizing agendas, hosting sessions, documenting outcomes, and tracking follow-up actions to ensure objectives are met. Delegate tasks and manage urgent assignments for Human Capital teams, monitoring progress and ensuring timely completion. Coordinate position description (PD) development, review, updates, and tracking to ensure roles and responsibilities remain current and aligned with organizational needs. Support workforce planning by tracking billets, forecasting staffing needs, and providing data-driven recommendations to leadership. Schedule and manage team meetings and calls, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement and communication. Maintain and quality-check vacancy status records and position trackers, providing accurate and timely updates for leadership reporting. Track and process Headquarters Task Order (TO) updates and modifications, ensuring compliance and proper documentation. Prepare materials, develop presentations, and document meetings for leadership and management sessions. Organize and coordinate educational sessions, recognition activities, and certification tracking for the federal workforce. Compile and distribute weekly summaries of team activities and outcomes to leadership and partners. Lead and support team systems, including the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for personnel tracking and digital tool usage.

Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to quality in all deliverables. Technical proficiency with digital tools (e.g., PowerApps, BI tools, data trackers). Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Proactive initiative in identifying and addressing needs, issues, and opportunities for improvement. Adaptability and responsiveness to changing priorities and urgent requests. Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information and personnel matters.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline
  • 7+ years of work experience, or master's degree with 3 years of work experience.
  • Ability to develop a variety of written and presentation-based work products and deliverables
  • Ability to work in a team based environment
  • Ability to travel to and work on client sites as needed
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and presentation skills
  • Excellent customer relationship management skills
  • Desire and willingness to gain technical skills and capabilities in strategy development, talent management, process mapping, organizational change, workforce planning and analysis, data analysis and visualization, and/or competency management, to include desire to obtain relevant industry certifications (such as Project Management Professional)
