Job description

Position Summary
MAG Aerospace is hiring for a Mid Level - Human Resource Specialist with current SECRET clearance for The Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Joint Program Office (JPO) in Arlington, VA
Performs human resources functions in support of a government contract.
Coordinates directly with Senior HR and other Back-Office staff a within a joint DoD environment supporting the F35 Joint Program Office.
Serves as HR professional in a team working closely with the Manpower Management Lead and FMS Case Managers in establishing and maintaining manpower billets.
Maintains the internal Human Resource information system or Applicant Tracking System which is used as a manpower database similar in content and intent as PeopleSoft in support of FMS Team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include, but not limited to:
  • Develop, coordinate, and manage manpower requirements packages in compliance with federal HR and manpower regulations.
  • Analyze and provide recommendations on manpower requests, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on federal HR and manpower policies, providing guidance and support to leadership and staff.
  • Conduct workforce planning, including data analysis and reporting, to support organizational goals and objectives.
  • Prepare and present briefings on HR and manpower projects, including status updates, associated risks, and proposed solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve manpower-related issues and implement HR initiatives.
  • Create and manage HR-related documents and reports using Microsoft Office Products, applying advanced formulations and reporting techniques in Excel as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and federal regulations related to HR and manpower functions.
  • Provide training and mentorship to staff on HR and manpower best practices.
  • Supports project leadership on human capital issues within the HR/Manpower Management Team

Requirements
Experience / Skills:
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in federal human resources and/or manpower positions.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the coordination and development of manpower requirements packages.
  • Familiarity with federal HR and manpower regulations.
  • Proven ability to work independently, demonstrating self-initiative and strong organizational skills.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills, with the ability to succinctly brief leadership on project status, risks, and solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Word, PowerPoint, Excel (including advanced formulas and reporting techniques), and Outlook.

Education
  • Preferred: Associate's degree or higher.

Clearance
  • Active / Current DoD Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting HR or manpower functions within the Department of Defense (DoD) or federal agencies.
  • Familiarity with the mission, objectives, and organizational structure of the F-35 JPO.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment.
