The Channels HR Business Partner team is looking for a Senior Manager, HRBP to work with internal clients to deliver on people initiatives and talent strategy. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong relationship building, influencing, communication, and problem solving skills; who thrives in a fast paced, collaborative, and values-oriented team.
We are looking for someone who has proven ability to:
  • Provide strategic HR business partnership to one or more business groups
  • Oversee and deliver HR solutions to the business, including: people strategy, performance and talent management, culture and belonging, engagement and retention, organizational efficiency, workforce planning, and succession management
  • Partner with the HR leadership team on planning and delivering HR solutions to the business
  • Operate as a trusted advisor to our HR Centres of Excellence serving as the expert on people and organizational issues
  • Navigate a fast-paced environment with significant change; leveraging effective HR processes to enable the organization to innovate and grow

Your Responsibilities:
Embedded within the senior leadership team of one or more lines of business, HRBPs are accountable for leading and delivering strategic talent initiatives, including:
  • Strategic workforce planning, including succession planning
  • Proactive recruitment and retention strategies
  • Organizational design and development
  • Employment risk management, including employee relations strategies
  • Data and trend analysis to incorporate within strategic decisions and talent plans
  • Foundational Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (DIB) practices
  • Partner with Employee Relations, DIB, Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, Compensation, People Analytics and Enterprise HR to develop solutions which attract, retain, and motivate world class talent
  • Provide coaching to our leaders and advice on key areas such as leadership, teamwork, organizational design, strategy, etc.
  • Create and support business outcomes with HR programs, initiatives and strategies leading to a market competitive advantage
  • Develop data-driven, innovative and creative solutions with a willingness to push and challenge for transformative work
  • Lead Card Channels-wide HR project work, partnering with peers within Channels and across the Card organization

Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
  • At least 5 years of client facing experience OR at least 5 years of consulting experience OR a combination

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • MBA or Master's degree
  • Professional Human Resources Certification or Senior Professional Human Resources certification or coaching certification
  • 7+ years of client facing experience or 7+ years of consulting experience or a combination
  • 6+ years of experience in in Human Resources or Human Capital Consulting

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean, VA: $177,700 - $202,800 for Sr. Manager, HR Business Partner
Richmond, VA: $161,500 - $184,300 for Sr. Manager, HR Business Partner
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
