Description
The Human Resources Generalist supports day-to-day HR operations across assigned portfolios, partnering closely with HR leadership and business leaders to deliver consistent, compliant, and efficient HR processes.
This role plays a critical part in supporting the full employee lifecycle, including employee relations, on-boarding, compliance, recruiting coordination, and HR operations. The HR Generalist ensures strong execution of HR workflows, maintains accurate and defensible documentation, and contributes to a positive and consistent employee experience.
This position offers the opportunity to support multiple business units, partner closely with HR leadership, and contribute to operational excellence across HR processes and employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
• Serve as a point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR-related questions and concerns.
• Support employee relations matters, including intake, documentation, follow-up, and resolution.
• Assist HR Managers with investigations and ensure proper documentation of employee concerns.
• Coordinate HR operations across on-boarding, off-boarding, payroll support, and benefits administration.
• Ensure timely completion of HR workflows through proactive follow-up with managers and stakeholders.
• Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. Maintain accurate and defensible HR documentation to support compliance and audit readiness.
• Assist with leave of absence administration, wage and hour compliance, and audit preparation.
• Coordinate recruiting workflows from requisition through on-boarding in partnership with hiring managers. Track recruiting and on-boarding progress and escalate bottlenecks or delays as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely data within HRIS systems to support reporting and compliance.
• Monitor HR workflows and identify process gaps, recommending improvements to enhance efficiency and consistency.
Requirements
Qualifications:
• 3-5 years of HR experience in a Generalist or similar role.
• Experience in employee relations, HR operations, and compliance functions.
• Strong knowledge of HR processes and employment practices; California compliance experience, preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication skills and sound professional judgment.
• Experience working within HRIS systems and Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• Experience supporting multi-site or multi-entity organizations.
• Exposure to payroll support and benefits administration.
Work Environment:
This is a hybrid position based in Irvine, supporting assigned units across multiple locations.
