Human Resources Manager
Location: Raleigh, NC

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Human Resources Manager to lead HR operations for a growing manufacturing facility in Raleigh, NC. This role will partner closely with plant leadership to drive talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compliance, training and development, compensation, and workforce planning initiatives. The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is passionate about building an engaged, high-performing workforce.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations & Workforce Management
  • Serve as the primary HR resource for managers and employees.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations matters, performance management, coaching, corrective actions, and conflict resolution.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture focused on employee engagement, retention, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct investigations and recommend appropriate resolutions while ensuring consistency and compliance.
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts for hourly, skilled trades, engineering, and salaried positions.
  • Partner with hiring managers to develop effective recruiting strategies and workforce plans.
  • Manage onboarding processes to ensure a successful employee experience and reduce turnover.
  • Collaborate with staffing partners, technical schools, and community organizations to build talent pipelines.
Compliance & Policy Administration
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain employee records and HR documentation in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Update and administer employee handbooks, policies, and procedures.
  • Support audits and reporting requirements related to HR operations.
  • Partner with Safety and Operations teams to support OSHA compliance and workplace safety initiatives.
Performance Management & Development
  • Administer performance review programs and employee development initiatives.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate leadership, safety, and compliance training programs.
  • Support succession planning and career development efforts.
  • Coach managers on employee development and performance improvement strategies.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Assist with compensation planning, salary administration, and market analysis.
  • Administer employee benefits programs and serve as a resource for benefits-related questions.
  • Support annual merit review and compensation planning processes.
  • Assist with leave administration, accommodations, and applicable compliance requirements.
HR Operations & Reporting
  • Maintain HRIS data integrity and generate workforce reports and metrics.
  • Analyze trends related to turnover, attendance, recruiting, and employee engagement.
  • Recommend process improvements that enhance efficiency and employee satisfaction.
  • Track and report KPIs including turnover, retention, absenteeism, recruitment effectiveness, and training participation.
Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including experience supporting a manufacturing, distribution, or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience supporting both hourly production and salaried employee populations.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and employee relations skills.
Preferred
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification.
  • Experience supporting multi-shift manufacturing facilities.
  • Knowledge of workforce planning, compensation programs, and talent development initiatives.
  • Experience with continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing, or Six Sigma environments.
