The Opportunity
EDC is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to assist the Human Resources Leader. This job is for eager learners who are comfortable with shifting priorities and tasks ranging from administrative functions to payroll and recruiting. They will serve as a key resource for employees by educating new hires and existing staff on company policies and procedures while ensuring consistent compliance across the organization. This role will help foster a positive and professional workplace culture. This is not a remote position. No travel is required.
What You'll Do
  • Payroll and expense management for the whole company.
  • Lead the recruitment and interview process. Track status of candidates in HRIS and respond with follow-up emails throughout the recruiting process.
  • Process onboarding and offboarding in HRIS.
  • Assist with the preparation of the performance review process.
  • Serve as the primary HR contact, responding to routine inquiries and directing complex matters to the Human Resources leader.
  • Maintain organized filing system for physical and digital documents to enhance accessibility.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners to facilitate smooth operations.
  • Lead new hire orientations and associated onboarding tasks to ensure a positive employee experience.
  • Respond promptly to employee questions and requests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
What We Expect from You
  • Proficiency with Paylocity or other HRIS.
  • Experience working in a construction-related field preferred.
  • Proven experience or interest in payroll, HR, or talent acquisition.
  • Build strong relationships with employees across various levels and groups.
  • Strong sense of urgency, ownership, and follow-through.
  • Ability and desire to work collaboratively with team members.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding pay, personal information, and other HR proprietary information.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

All employment offers are contingent upon successful drug tests, background checks, and professional reference checks. The hourly range for this position is $24 to $26 per hour. However, if you possess additional experience or valuable skills that could benefit the enterprise, you may be eligible for higher compensation.
