Family Focus is looking for a HR Recruiting Specialist with full cycle recruiting experience, from talent sourcing and attracting candidates to interviewing and hiring great employees. A successful recruiter will collaborate with department managers and the Human Resources Business Partners on a regular basis and proactively identify hiring needs. You should also be able to attract candidates using various sources, such as social media networks and employee referrals. Our ideal Recruiting Specialist holds an academic HR background combined with work experience in screening, interviewing, and assessing candidates. Ultimately, the responsibilities of the Recruiting Specialist are to ensure our company attracts, hires, and retains the best employees, while growing a strong talent pipeline.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to develop and update job descriptions, confirm candidate requirements, and design recruitment strategy.
  • Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate job board/newspapers/colleges, etc.
  • Source and recruit candidates by using databases, social media, etc.
  • Review resumes and applications. Conduct phone screens using various reliable recruiting and selection tools/methods to filter candidates, assessing relevant knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
  • Facilitate the initial onboarding activities and required paperwork.
  • Monitor and apply HR recruiting best practices.
  • Provide ongoing follow-up to both internal stakeholders and external candidates regarding the status of the recruitment process.
  • Maintain ATS on a regular basis. Provide analytical and well documented recruiting metrics reports on a regular and ad-hoc basis.
  • Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process and in developing talent pipelines.
The ideal candidate will have the following education and experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience in Human Resources or similar field.
  • Bilingual (Spanish), preferred.
  • No less than two years of proven work experience as a Recruiter (either an in-house recruiter or a staffing agency recruiter)
  • Experience recruiting for non-profit education or social services agency a strong plus
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of legal requirements related to employment, selection, and job postings
  • Solid ability to conduct different types of interviews (structured, behavioral, competency-based, etc.)
  • Hands on experience with various selection processes (phone interviewing, reference check, etc.)
  • Strong hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) as well as Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS). Intermediate Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate with all levels of the organization.
  • Detail oriented and strong documentation skills
  • Experience recruiting through social media and networking sites
  • Strong decision-making skills
Salary: $50,000 - 53,000/year
