Job description

WingSwept is an award-winning, employee-owned technology service provider seeking an HR & Recruiting Assistant to facilitate the recruitment of new employees, provide HR support as needed to existing employees, and manage sensitive employee data. This is a new, full-time position within our growing company! Compensation for this position includes competitive base pay with excellent benefits, including employee stock ownership, profit sharing, and a fully-vested 401(k) with matching contributions.
The responsibilities of the position may include:
  • Master the HRIS and ATS software
  • Build and maintain trust and rapport with employees
  • Provide first-level HR support to employees
  • Maintain appropriate privacy, confidentiality, and information security in every aspect of the position and its responsibilities
  • Work with executives and hiring managers to gain and maintain understanding of competencies and other requirements for various roles in the organization
  • Actively seek out and develop relationships with candidates who are qualified for positions we will hire for in the future
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates and foster their interest in working at WingSwept
  • Facilitate steps in the recruitment/hiring/interview process for open positions and work with hiring managers to keep the process moving
  • Administer assessments for candidates as needed during the interview process
  • Maintain a high standard for candidate experience throughout the hiring process
  • Serve as an initial point of contact for new and prospective employees while representing and promoting our core values
  • Gain and maintain understanding of WingSwept's benefit offerings and be able to explain to candidates and employees
  • Additional responsibilities to be added after mastery of the responsibilities above

Minimum requirements:
  • Each WingSwept employee is expected to adhere to our core values of being Honest, Eager, Accountable, Respectful, and a Team Player.
  • Must have strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • High school diploma, at least two years of secondary education preferred
  • Some recruiting and/or sales experience preferred
  • Must be able to work at least 40 hours per week from our office in Garner, NC, with occasional travel to our Chantilly, VA office (estimated at 2-4 times per year)
  • Exceptional computer skills on Microsoft based clients
  • Firm understanding of the basics involved with Human Resources
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for interactions with candidates and coworkers
  • Must be self-motivated and organized, thirsty for knowledge and able to work independently
  • Must by highly organized, self-motivated, thirsty for knowledge, able to work independently, and determined to get the job done
  • Must be willing and able to face the challenge of reaching out to candidates who are not yet looking and fostering interest in jobs that are not yet open
  • Must have or quickly develop a strong understanding and methodology of passive recruitment function, including sales-related aspects, cold-calling, and relationship-building
