Job Summary
Harris County looking for an Executive Administrator Contracts Coordinator. This position will provide a wide range of specialized administrative support duties, including the administration of contracts and agreements for the Capital Projects and Infrastructure (CPI) division. The EAC will be responsible for working with the Deputy Director, Sr. Staff Engineers, Program Managers, Project Managers, and Sr. Assistant County Attorney on the creation of contracts and agreements for submission to Commissioners Court for approval.
Responsibilities:
  • Coordinates day-to-day operations effectively in a fast-paced environment while being able to work independently and to meet crucial time deadlines.
  • Prepares, reviews, and monitors contracts and agreements for professional, technical, engineering and construction services for the CPI division from inception to implementation. Responsible for the execution of contracts and agreements by all parties involved including Sr. Assistant County Attorney, consultants, and outside stakeholders.
  • Provides a wide range of specialized administrative support duties to include working on submitting agenda items for consideration and approval by Commissioners Court, adhering to the internal review and approval process. Maintains records and reports for contracts and agreements approved by Commissioners Court.
  • Assists the Deputy Director, Sr. Staff Engineers, Program Manager, and Sr. Assistant County Attorney with the preparation, management and tracking of all contracts and agreements. Creates and maintains master contract document file. Responsible for reviewing and processing amendments, change orders and close out documents as needed.
  • Interacts with CPI Staff Members, Executive Staff Members, Sr. Assistant County Attorney, consultants, and other stakeholders regarding the review of contracts and agreements and other legal documents, ensuring compliance requirements are met and documented.
  • Coordinate with the Executive Assistant on any needed assistance with assignments. Prepares periodical activity report on contracts and agreements for the Deputy Director.
Education/Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum five (5) years' experience in an increasingly responsible administrative role.
