Responsibilities & Qualifications

Novelis is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) for our Novelis North America HR team to support assigned business and functional client groups. This role serves as a trusted advisor to leaders, providing strategic and hands‑on HR partnership across talent management, organizational effectiveness, employee relations, workforce planning, change management, and engagement.

The successful candidate will be highly resourceful, proactive, and business-focused, with the ability to anticipate needs, navigate ambiguity, and independently drive solutions. Success in this role requires building strong relationships and maintaining a visible presence with the teams and leaders supported, developing a deep understanding of their business priorities, workforce challenges, and culture. The HRBP acts as both a coach and consultant, helping leaders make informed people decisions that drive organizational performance and employee experience.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary HR partner and trusted advisor to leaders and employees within assigned client groups.
  • Partner with leaders on organizational design, workforce planning, talent management, succession planning, and employee development.
  • Provide coaching and guidance on employee relations, performance management, policy interpretation, and change management.
  • Drive talent and performance processes, including talent reviews, organizational planning, and leadership development initiatives.
  • Support compensation planning, promotions, job evaluations, and other talent-related decisions.
  • Use workforce data and insights to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, recommending solutions that support business objectives.
  • Foster employee engagement and a positive workplace culture through strong relationships and consistent partnership with the business.
  • Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence, HR Operations, and business leaders to deliver integrated HR solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering directly with business leaders and influencing decision-making.
  • Strong employee relations, organizational development, and change management experience.
