Job description

Summary
Join our manufacturing team as a Surface Technician, where you'll be responsible for operating and maintaining critical surface processing equipment to ensure optimal production performance. This hands-on role involves troubleshooting equipment errors, implementing preventive maintenance protocols, and maintaining the highest standards of equipment functionality and cleanliness. You'll work in a dynamic manufacturing environment, contributing to operational efficiency and product quality while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities (Will Train)
    Maintain operational status of assigned surface equipment
    Clear equipment errors and perform restarts
    Load consumables (alloy, blocks, pads, polish)
    Keep equipment and work area clean
    Participate in scheduled equipment maintenance
    Report equipment malfunctions and quality issues to management
    Assist with calibration, setup, and light maintenance
    Record process data accurately
    Support other lab operations as needed

Key Skills Required
    Teamwork and collaboration
    Basic math and problem-solving abilities
    Proficiency in English (reading/writing)
    Computer skills (Windows, MS Office)
    Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
    Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
