Job description

Position: Supervised Visitation Monitor

Location: Highland Heights, Kentucky


The Supervised Visitation (SV) Monitor is responsible for fostering a safe and trauma informed environment in which supervised visits take place between the visiting party and child(ren). The SV monitor is responsible for completing assessments, conducting visits with families and documenting visits in real time, and providing intervention using EBP. The SV monitor must remain neutral and professional when conducting visits and may need to offer support and crisis de-escalation to families as needed. This position reports directly to the Supervisor of SV Programming at Holly Hill.


Pay: $18.50 - $25.00 per hour

Job Type: Full-Time

Shift: Tuesday - Friday 12:00pm - 8:00pm and Saturday 9:00am - 5:00pm



Essential Job Function:

  • Actively adhere to the six core principles of trauma informed care and promotes a trauma informed culture.
  • Upholds Holly Hillโ€™s principles and core values
  • Responsible for providing supervised visitation services compliant with regulations set forth by contracts and regulations including intake, assessment, service planning, pre and post visit interventions and visitation monitoring
  • Responsible for the delivery of EBPโ€™s including Motivational Interviewing and Nurturing Parenting
  • Responsible for completion and maintenance of required documentation and records within agency timelines
  • Completes accurate and factual documentation of all visits.
  • Responsible for ensuring ethe safety and security of all participants.
  • Responsible for active participation in team meetings, staff meetings, and continuing education courses
  • Adheres to ethical standards of professionalism including maintaining confidentiality of each client and their family, in compliance with HIPAA regulations and agency policies.
  • Prioritizes client care, focusing on delivering quality care for clients
  • Seeks to fulfill Holly Hillโ€™s mission by providing quality services to clients served.
  • Participates in Holly Hillโ€™s Performance Quality Improvement (PQI) activities as assigned.
  • Works collaboratively and communicates appropriately with other staff members.



Hiring Requirements:

  • 21 years of age
  • Valid driverโ€™s license
  • Valid auto insurance
  • High school diploma/GED
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in a human services related field (preferred)
  • One year of experience working with children and/or families in a mental health, child welfare and/or case management setting (preferred)
  • Requires excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be able to independently manage time and be flexible.
  • Provide treatment services while maintaining clear, professional boundaries.

Typical Demands:

Physical: Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, copier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and vision to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 35 pounds. Requires some exposure to chemicals and solvents.

Mental: Must be able to establish priorities, work independently and to carry out decisions and tasks. Must be able to handle and resolve problems and make effective decisions. Must be able to communicate effectively with others in a professional manner. Requires public contact and good interpersonal skills. Must be mentally adaptable and flexible in dealing with a variety of people.
