Job Summary:
DISH TV is a company that builds solutions to help families and communities stay connected. They are seeking a Staff Engineer to architect and maintain CI/CD pipelines, implement GitOps processes, and develop automation tools in Python and GOlang, all while promoting a DevOps culture across teams.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Architecting and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD) for complex application builds, testing, and multi-environment promotions.
โ€ข Implementing and managing GitOps Processes for declarative application delivery and orchestrating advanced deployment techniques via Helm and container scheduling technologies.
โ€ข Developing complex, reusable automation tools and workflows in Python and GOlang to manage the software development lifecycle beyond CI/CD (e.g., custom API integrations, automated code release systems).
โ€ข Utilizing Ansible/Chef/Puppet to manage application-level configuration, secrets injection, and post-deployment hardening of services running on Kubernetes.
โ€ข Designing and implementing application observability using Dynatrace, Logz, and New Relic; defining SLIs/SLOs and integrating these tools into the CI/CD feedback loop.
โ€ข Providing technical guidance and promoting DevOps culture across development and operations teams; utilizing Jira and ServiceNow for efficient workflow tracking and incident management.
โ€ข Mentoring development teams on CI/CD best practices, Chaos Engineering principles, and application performance tuning.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Masterโ€™s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering or closely related technical field plus 3 years of experience in job offered or similar roles.
โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree (or foreign equivalent) in stated fields plus 5 years of experience in job offered or similar roles; or any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience.
โ€ข 3 years of experience with/using AWS.
โ€ข 3 years of experience with/using Jenkins, Gitlab CI/CD.
โ€ข 3 years of experience with/using Harness, GitOps Process.
โ€ข 3 years of experience with/using Helm.
