Job description

Maverick Insured | Knoxville, TN | In-Office

ENTRY LEVEL • COMPANY-PROVIDED INBOUND LEADS • NO COLD CALLING • LICENSING PROVIDED

Maverick Insured is looking for motivated, coachable individuals to join our Knoxville office as Insurance Sales Representatives.

No prior insurance experience is required. We provide the licensing education, approved licensing costs, company-provided inbound leads, hands-on training, and ongoing coaching needed to get started.

This is a 1099 independent-contractor, commission-only sales opportunity. There is no salary, hourly wage, or guaranteed minimum income.

What We Provide

Company-Provided Inbound Leads
Work with prospective clients who have requested information about life insurance and retirement solutions. No cold calling.

Licensing Support
We provide licensing education and exam preparation and cover approved licensing and certification fees.

Hands-On Training & Coaching
Receive product training, sales development, mentorship, and ongoing coaching from experienced producers.

Multiple Products & Carriers
Help clients with Term Life, Whole Life, Indexed Universal Life (IUL), Final Expense Insurance, and Annuities through carriers including Americo, Transamerica, Mutual of Omaha, Corebridge Financial, Aetna, American Amicable, Ethos, and Athene.

What You'll Do

- Work with inbound prospects who have requested insurance information
- Speak with clients to understand their insurance and financial-protection needs
- Explain available life insurance and retirement solutions
- Help clients select appropriate coverage
- Complete and submit insurance applications
- Maintain consistent follow-up throughout the application and underwriting process
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Follow state licensing, carrier, and compliance requirements
- Participate in ongoing training, coaching, and professional development

Insurance experience is not required.

Basic Qualifications

- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Able to meet applicable background requirements
- Able to obtain a state life insurance license
- Able to work on-site in Knoxville, Tennessee

Licensing & Training

Maverick provides:

- Licensing education and exam preparation
- Payment of approved licensing and certification fees
- Product and sales training
- Ongoing coaching and mentorship
- Company-provided inbound leads

Licensing preparation and training are unpaid. Candidates must obtain the required insurance license and applicable carrier appointments before earning commissions.

Compensation

This is a 1099 independent-contractor, commission-only opportunity.

- Earnings are based on individual production and issued business
- Performance-based bonuses may be available
- Earning potential is not capped by an hourly wage or salary
- Commissions are subject to carrier approval and may be affected by policy cancellations or chargebacks

Independent contractors are responsible for their own tax obligations and do not receive traditional employee benefits such as employer-sponsored health insurance or paid time off.
