Hourly Dispute Analyst Jobs (NOW HIRING)

We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for professionals experienced in personal finance, budgeting, tax preparation, bookkeeping, consumer finance, and structured financial documentation workflows.

This role supports current and upcoming remote consulting opportunities focused on structured personal finance review, budgeting workflow analysis, transaction categorization, tax documentation, consumer finance comparison, and high-quality project execution. Selected professionals will apply their finance expertise to review realistic personal finance scenarios, evaluate documentation requirements, prepare structured written outputs, and support accurate, evidence-based financial workflow tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Professionals in this role may contribute to:

Budgeting & Transaction Review

• Review personal finance scenarios involving transaction categorization, budget reconciliation, spending analysis, and anomaly detection
• Evaluate transactions against defined category maps, budget targets, account summaries, and documented financial records
• Support structured review of spending patterns, budget outputs, reconciliation notes, and financial summaries
• Identify missing information, categorization issues, spending anomalies, and expected financial outcomes

Tax Documentation & Financial Planning Support

• Review tax preparation scenarios involving required-document checklists, tax packet assembly, income records, deductions, and supporting materials
• Support structured review of net worth rollups, asset summaries, liability records, portfolio summaries, and personal finance documentation
• Prepare clear written explanations for financial documentation decisions based on source materials and defined criteria
• Evaluate financial planning materials against documented inputs, computable totals, and required review steps

Consumer Finance & Dispute Review

• Review consumer finance scenarios involving credit card comparisons, rewards structures, billing disputes, account statements, and provider terms
• Evaluate credit card or financial product comparisons against defined criteria, fees, rewards, eligibility requirements, and documented constraints
• Support review of billing dispute materials, dispute letters, valid or invalid outcomes, and supporting records
• Maintain accuracy, consistency, and professional judgment across submitted work

Ideal Profile

Strong candidates may have:

• 3+ years of experience in personal finance, tax preparation, bookkeeping, wealth advisory, financial coaching, accounting support, or related financial services
• Experience with one or more areas such as budgeting systems, tax packet preparation, personal bookkeeping, transaction categorization, credit card comparison, billing disputes, or portfolio summaries
• Familiarity with tools such as TurboTax, QuickBooks, Mint, Monarch, Copilot, Excel, Google Sheets, or similar personal finance and bookkeeping tools
• Comfort reading and preparing personal finance artifacts such as budgets, tax packets, dispute letters, transaction summaries, net worth statements, portfolio summaries, and financial checklists
• Strong written communication skills and ability to explain financial reasoning clearly
• Ability to follow structured instructions and produce evidence-based work

Educational Background

• A degree or professional background in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, tax, bookkeeping, financial planning, or a related field is helpful
• Equivalent practical experience in tax preparation, bookkeeping, personal finance support, budgeting, or financial documentation workflows is also highly relevant

Nice to Have

• CFP, EA, CPA, bookkeeping certification, tax preparation credential, or equivalent financial services background
• Experience with U.S. tax rules, personal tax preparation, credit card rewards ecosystems, consumer finance products, or household budgeting
• Familiarity with spreadsheet-based financial models, budgeting tools, bookkeeping systems, or tax preparation software
• Experience preparing budgets, tax packets, financial summaries, dispute letters, or portfolio documentation
• Strong attention to detail in numbers-heavy and documentation-based workflows
