Job description

Position: Project Manager

Location: Portland, OR

Experience Required: 5+ Years | Focus: Complex Commercial (Ground-up)

Salary Range: $120K - $170K (Based on Experience)


About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in Commercial General Contracting (GC) and proven expertise managing complex commercial construction projects (hospitals, colleges, schools, university campuses, data centers, office buildings, retail, etc.). The ideal candidate will have at least 5+ years of project management experience in Portland area and a track record of delivering complex commercial facilities on time and within budget.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all phases of complex commercial construction projects, from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, contracts, and subcontractors with full accountability.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, owners, and internal teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Oversee field operations to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with specifications.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams while fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare, mission-critical, data center, higher education, retail clients and stakeholders.
  • Anticipate project risks, resolve issues proactively, and ensure projects meet client expectations.


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Project Management experience in commercial ground-up construction, specifically in Healthcare, Higher Education, Data center, Mission-critical, office buildings, retail, and TI projects.
  • Proven background with a Commercial General Contractor (GC).
  • Strong understanding of construction means, methods, scheduling, and cost control.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and client-relations skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software (Procore, MS Project, or similar).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
