Job description

One of our client is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, communication, financial management, and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to deliver projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all phases of commercial construction projects from planning through completion.

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasting.

  • Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and field personnel.

  • Lead project meetings and provide regular progress updates to clients and leadership.

  • Review drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documents.

  • Negotiate and administer subcontractor agreements and purchase orders.

  • Monitor project costs, approve invoices, and manage change orders.

  • Identify and proactively resolve project risks and challenges.

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company quality standards.

  • Support project closeout activities, including punch lists, documentation, warranties, and final turnover.

  • Foster strong relationships with clients, trade partners, and internal teams.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (preferred).

  • 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience with a general contractor.

  • Experience managing projects ranging from $5 million to $50 million preferred.

  • Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, contracts, scheduling, and estimating.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software such as Procore, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, or similar platforms.

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

  • Excellent organizational, leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.

  • OSHA 30 certification is preferred.

  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites throughout western Massachusetts and New England as needed.
