What is a hotel intern?

Hotel interns are students or recent graduates who work temporarily in a hotel to gain practical experience in the hospitality industry. Their responsibilities may include assisting in guest services, front desk operations, housekeeping, food and beverage service, or event planning. The goal of a hotel internship is to provide hands-on training and exposure to different hotel departments, helping interns build relevant skills and prepare for a career in hospitality management.

Familiarity with property management systems (PMS), reservation platforms, and basic office software is often expected. Strong communication, teamwork, adaptability, and a positive attitude help interns stand out in dynamic hotel environments. These skills and qualities are crucial for delivering excellent guest experiences and supporting seamless hotel operations.
