Job description

As one of the best hotels in Milwaukee and the Midwest, we continue to celebrate a grand tradition of gracious service and impeccable style. The Pfister Hotel has received AAA Four Diamond hotel status for over 50 consecutive years.

What you will be doing 

  • Prepare and execute high-quality food production for banquet events, weddings, meetings, and special functions while maintaining The Pfister Hotel's exceptional culinary standards.

  • Follow recipes, production sheets, and chef instructions to ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control for large-scale events.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment in accordance with food safety, health, and company standards.

  • Collaborate with culinary and banquet teams to ensure timely preparation, setup, and service, supporting seamless event execution and an outstanding guest experience.

  • Assist with inventory management, product rotation, and proper storage of food and supplies while demonstrating flexibility in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Position Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of cooking experience in a hotel, banquet, restaurant, catering, or high-volume food service environment preferred.

  • Understanding of food handling, sanitation, and HACCP guidelines, with the ability to maintain safe and compliant kitchen practices.

  • Capable of preparing and plating large volumes of food efficiently while maintaining quality and attention to detail.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive bending, reaching, and lifting throughout the shift.

  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events while collaborating effectively with culinary, banquet, and stewarding teams.
