Job Description of a Host:

We are seeking a daytime Host to join our team! The host is one of the most crucial positions in a restaurant, the host is the first person the guest sees and engages with as well as controls the flow for the entire shift.

Responsibilities of a Host:

Managing reservations, either in person, on the phone or online.

Answering phone calls.

Seating guests and answering any initial questions.

Providing waiting times when necessary or for guests without reservations.

Creating an appropriate atmosphere when guests arrive.

Ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards are met in front of house area.

Assisting with opening and closing of restaurant.

Knowledge of menu.

Assigning guests to tables they prefer, while keeping table rotation in mind so that servers receive the same guest count.

Host requirements:

To maintain a positive attitude  and ability to work well under pressure.

To provide excellent customer service in a fast paced environment.

Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time.

Willing to follow instructions and ask questions for clarification if needed.

We are a locally owned restaurant + full bar serving up casual, Mediterranean-inspired comfort foods.
