Job description

Executive Chef / Kitchen Manager

High-Volume Coastal Restaurant | Myrtle Beach, SC

Are you a culinary leader who excels at directing high-volume service from the expo?

We are partnering with a premier oceanside restaurant in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, to find a dynamic Executive Chef or Kitchen Manager. Generating between ten to fifteen million dollars in annual revenue, this highly successful establishment is known for a menu featuring eighty percent fresh seafood. We are seeking a professional who balances operational efficiency with a genuine passion for team leadership and guest satisfaction.

The Opportunity

Finding the perfect match in the hospitality industry is about building a successful future. In this role, your primary focus will be shift leadership and expert delegation. We need a professional who can command the kitchen from the service side, manage ticket times, and maintain impeccable plate presentation. If you understand how to dynamically reassign staff to relieve bottlenecks instead of getting stuck on the cook line, this is the ideal position for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage high-volume shifts exclusively from the expo.
  • Delegate tasks effectively and reallocate team members for short intervals to recover lagging ticket times.
  • Oversee all food running and final plate presentations to ensure exacting quality standards.
  • Train and mentor the kitchen staff, providing clear standard operating procedures for service-side leadership.
  • Execute the core menu while enjoying the creative freedom to design three seasonal menu items each quarter.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Kitchen Manager in a high-volume restaurant environment.
  • Exceptional delegation and communication skills under pressure.
  • A background in corporate multi-unit concepts or high-volume coastal seafood houses is highly preferred.
  • Strong leadership capabilities and volume management are considered more important than specific seafood expertise.
  • Open to relocating to the Myrtle Beach, South Carolina area.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers one of the most competitive compensation packages in the region:

  • Base salary of $110,000 to $115,000, plus a lucrative bonus program.
  • Comprehensive relocation package, including temporary housing to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage beginning after sixty days.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match available after six months.
