Relocation Specialist for Seniors and Families
Location: La Mesa / San Diego (91941, 92120, 92124) - Part-Time
Caring Transitions of La Mesa is a locally owned and operated franchise dedicated to delivering professional, compassionate, and "White-Glove" services. We help seniors and their families navigate the high-stress journey of relocation, downsizing, and estate liquidation.
We are looking for Relocation Specialists who are more than just "movers"-we need problem-solvers who are patient, organized, and dedicated to honoring a lifetime of memories while helping a client move toward their next chapter.
Key Responsibilities
  • Estate Curation: Sort and organize household goods with care. Identify high-value items (like vintage collectibles or premium home goods) for our online auction platform.
  • Digital Cataloging: Take high-quality, professional photos of items for CTBids and write clear, accurate descriptions to maximize auction results.
  • Precision Packing: Safely pack and unpack household treasures, ensuring a "White-Glove" setup at the new residence that replicates the comfort of their previous home.
  • Logistics & Labor: Lift and move boxes, décor, and light furniture within the home. Assist in the efficient removal of items for donation or disposal.
  • Shipping & Fulfillment: Prepare and ship items purchased through our online auctions to buyers across the country.
  • Compassionate Interaction: Act as a professional, non-judgmental liaison for seniors and their families during emotionally charged transitions.
  • "Own It" Accountability: Perform diverse tasks as no two days are exactly alike, maintaining a high standard of hospitality and efficiency.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Hospitality Heart: Excellent listening skills and a compassionate, patient approach to working with older adults.
  • Curious & Teachable: A willingness to learn about estate valuation and the "Caring Transitions" system of Continuous Improvement.
  • Tech-Ready: Must have a smartphone and be comfortable using apps for scheduling, time-keeping, and project management.
  • Reliable & Professional: Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a background check and drug test.
  • Physical Ability: Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and remain active on your feet throughout a shift.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Why Join Caring Transitions of La Mesa?
  • Purpose-Driven Work: Make a tangible difference in the lives of San Diego families during a major life milestone.
  • Growth Opportunities: We are a growing company that values leadership. This role is a stepping stone for those interested in Project Management.
  • Fun & Supportive Culture: We are a fun-loving team that balances hard work with a supportive atmosphere where we celebrate our "wins."
  • Flexibility: Competitive pay with flexible part-time hours.
  • Paid training is provided to ensure you feel confident in our standards.

Compensation
