Job Title: Therapy Scheduler (Outpatient) - Rehabilitation Hospital of Indiana

(Indianapolis, IN)

The Rehabilitation Hospital of Indiana (RHI) is nationally ranked among the Best Hospitals for Rehabilitation by U.S. News & World Report (2025โ€“2026) and has been named the Best Rehabilitation Hospital in Indiana for three consecutive years.

RHI provides high-quality, evidence-based rehabilitation services to individuals facing life-changing injuries and illnesses. We specialize in brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury, and complex medical conditions, serving patients ages 15 and older. RHI is the only Traumatic

Brain Injury (TBI) Model System in Indiana and one of only 16 nationwide.

Position Summary

The Therapy Scheduler (Outpatient) facilitates and coordinates the daily and future scheduling of therapy staff schedules and RHI patients using computerized scheduling in a timely and efficient manner. This position elicits staff scheduling in an organized fashion to maintain the required, predetermined staff resources to deliver therapy patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately schedules patient evaluations for therapy and neuropsychology, including review of referral information and/or physician orders to identify disciplines that require an evaluation.
  • Schedule all patient therapy Plans of Care and notifies staff of appropriate information, including but not limited to scheduling for PT, OT, ST, and rehab psychology (and testing).
  • Maintain a database to support the scheduling system.
  • Generate daily/monthly schedules to all affected parties.
  • Ability to judge patient care time versus free time and to facilitate equity across teams

Qualifications / Experience

  • Min of 2 years of secretarial or scheduling experience in a healthcare office environment (preferably rehabilitation or hospital-related)
  • Microsoft office experience required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
