A hospital CNA provides health care support to a nurse and the patient. In this role, you assist patients with a variety of daily tasks that may be difficult to perform on their own while in the hospital. You help turn patients over, bathe them, help them to get dressed and use the toilet, feed them, get them into wheelchairs so that can get around the hospital, and listen to patients. You record their medical conditions and take some simple vital signs for the nurse. Depending on the state or jurisdiction in which you work, you may be authorized to provide your patients with some medicine.
