Job description

The Electrical Designer is responsible for designing and developing electrical circuits and systems for power distribution, creating detailed schematics and ensuring compliance with local building codes. They will also modify workbooks and software macros, manage REVIT families and develop construction and lighting designs. A fundamental understanding of lighting control strategies and energy conservation codes is essential. Additionally, you will be tasked with sourcing and selecting appropriate products for projects.
Salary - $55,000.00 - $80,000.00

Minimum Requirements 
  • Technical program degree in Electrical Design, preferred.
  • 3-7 years of recent experience in Electrical Design with an architectural or MEP firm.
  • Proficient interpersonal skills and experience helping to maintain successful client relationships.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and MS Office software.
  • Fundamental Knowledge in Project Management.
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License with acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and background check is required.

  • Design and develop electrical circuit layouts and power distribution systems.
  • Assist in creating detailed schematics and technical drawings.
  • Apply knowledge of electrical equipment and local building codes to ensure compliance.
  • Modify and maintain workbooks and software macros for project efficiency.
  • Create and manage REVIT families for accurate modeling and documentation.
  • Develop and refine construction drawings for various electrical projects.
  • Design and implement effective lighting solutions.
  • Apply standard industry practices and lighting control strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with energy conservation codes and regulations.
  • Research, source, and select appropriate electrical products and materials.
  • Performs other duties, tasks and special projects as assigned.
