Job description

Occupational Therapist

Pride Health is hiring an Occupational Therapist to support our client's Home Health program in Spokane Valley, WA covering Stevens and Pend Oreille Counties. This is a 3-month contract assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Name: Home Health Occupational Therapist

Location: Spokane Valley, WA

Coverage Area: Stevens and Pend Oreille Counties

Duration: 3+ months Contract (Possibilities of extension)

Pay rate: $48.00 -$54.00/hour (W2) (Negotiable - Pay Rate is based on experience)

Schedule: Mon to Fri (5 days/wk.) 8 am to 4:30 PM

On Call/ Weekend: None

Mileage Reimbursement: Reimbursement Provided – (from first patient to last patient, excluding travel to and from home)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy services within the scope of state licensure, following the physician-approved plan of care and evidence-based practices.
  • Evaluate patients' functional abilities, body systems, and therapy needs; collaborate with physicians to develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Monitor, document, and report patients' progress, responses to treatment, and any changes in condition to the physician and nursing supervisor.
  • Educate patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare team members about treatment plans, functional limitations, and progress toward goals.
  • Complete timely evaluations, progress notes, reassessments, and discharge summaries in compliance with agency policies, CMS requirements, and state regulations.
  • Travel throughout the assigned service area to provide home-based therapy services.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, staff conferences, and agency committees.
  • Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs) and home health aides as permitted by state regulations and agency policy.
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments using standardized diagnostic and functional testing.
  • Provide in-service education and support ongoing staff development when requested.
  • Maintain current clinical knowledge, continuing education, and active state licensure while adhering to professional standards of practice.
  • Demonstrate scheduling flexibility, including participation in weekend rotations and possible holiday coverage, to meet patient care needs.

Qualifications:

  • Current Occupational Therapist licensure
  • Home health/home care experience preferred
  • Current CPR certification
  • Valid driver's license
  • Reliable transportation
