Job description

Personal Care Assistant (PCA)

The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) provides direct support and assistance to individuals needing personal care services. This 36-week contract is located in or near Pottstown, Pennsylvania and offers competitive hourly compensation up to $19 per hour. The role enables you to make a meaningful impact in the community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Monitor clients' health and report changes to the care team
  • Administer prescribed medications and document administration
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients
  • Provide companionship and engage clients in activities
  • Record observations and update care logs
  • Coordinate with healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care
  • Support clients with mobility and transfers
  • Encourage clients' independence and self-care
  • Facilitate communication between clients and family members
