Working under moderate supervision, the HL7 Integration Engineer will work with clients, engineering, solution architects and project managers to design, develop and implement complex integrated solutions.
Essential Job Duties
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to implement and operationalize Merge software and integrated solutions.

  • Apply knowledge of Merge solutions, site workflows, and business requirements to optimize solution effectiveness.

  • Define, document, and validate solution requirements.

  • Design, develop, deploy, and support custom HL7 interfaces.

  • Design, develop, and deploy custom reports and application integrations.

  • Perform and support custom data imports and exports, including development of supporting tools.

  • Assist internal teams in resolving field and client issues.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in sales calls and discussions with prospective clients.

  • Support Go-Live activities and transition solutions to the Support organization.

  • Deliver services in alignment with established implementation methodologies.

  • Maintain accurate records in CRM and regulatory systems.

  • Escalate product issues through the defect tracking system.

  • Engage in continuous learning to expand expertise in Merge products and related technologies.

  • Identify and communicate opportunities to improve client solutions and internal processes.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Required Knowledge & Experience
  • 6 + years of Healthcare IT experience.

  • 3 + years of experience configuring HL7 interface engines, including HL7, XML, and related integrations.

  • 3 + years of experience configuring and supporting in-house applications.

  • Background in healthcare informatics and medical imaging workflows.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.

  • Project management experience, with the ability to manage a dynamic workload and align expectations with stakeholders.

  • Familiarity with source control systems, defect tracking systems, and reporting systems.

Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required.

Work Environment
  • Office or Remote Home-Based Work Environment
