What we are looking for:
  • BS in histo, lab science, or related field
  • ASCP cert in:
    • Histotechnician, Histotechnologist, or Cytotechnologist
  • 5 years' of anatomic pathology laboratory experience required.

Responsibilities
The Histology Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operational and technical supervision of Histology services within the laboratory.
This individual: 1) oversees high-volume histology operations including specimen accessioning, tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, staining (H&E and special stains), and immunohistochemistry (IHC) 2) ensures accurate, timely, and high-quality results 3) ensures efficient workflow, regulatory compliance, and optimal utilization of resources while maintaining turnaround time expectations 4) under the direction of the AP Manager, provides frontline leadership by coordinating daily activities, supervising staff, troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting consistent service delivery for surgical pathology and related services.
Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1.Bachelor's degree in histotechnology, clinical laboratory science, biological sciences, or related field required.
2.ASCP certification preferred, including one of the following:
• HT (ASCP) - Histotechnician
• HTL (ASCP) - Histotechnologist
• CT (ASCP) - Cytotechnologist
3.Minimum five (5) years of anatomic pathology laboratory experience required.
4.Knowledge of histology processing, microtomy, special stains, immunohistochemistry, cytology preparation, and laboratory workflow systems preferred.
